Whenever I go to the website to create in Studio the latest place I’ve updated (Yeah, Steampunk) never shows up as the first selection when I select Sort byLast Updated Date:
I also tried clicking the top right hand arrow a couple of times to see if that would help the search sort itself out.
This has been going on for a long time now, with a 10 year old Windows 10 pc and again with my 4 month old Windows 11 pc, both using Google Chrome.
It’s not critical, but honestly if you have to scroll through all your creations to get to a recent one you’ve worked on it’s very broken.
Expected behavior
I expect the latest places to be shown last, or if I select Show public only then only public places would be shown.
Hi @Scottifly thanks for the report, this is not expected behavior. Are you still experiencing this issue consistently? I am unable to reproduce the issue on multiple accounts and machines. If this is still happening for you on all accounts, please let us know. We will reach out for more details and investigate.
It’s been happening for a long time but since it’s minor I didn’t report it. I finally got tired of it.
I’ll have another look on this account and my alternate tonight.
A video of me going to the create page.
You can see I have Last Updated Date selected, but the sort order is wrong.
The latest place I’ve been updating almost daily is the Steampunk place, but it isn’t shown first or last when I click the up or down arrow.
When I select the Show public only button you can see it shows private places and clicking the up or down doesn’t sort properly.
I tried my old alt account and saved a couple of baseplates with the names first and second.
Clicking the sort by date arrows works, but clicking the Show public only still does not.
I’ve just been working on another place for a few days and after I changed the name and some details in the description Irealized that the term ‘update’ only refers to any changes on the game name or description. This place now shows as the most recent update on my Create page.
I was expecting that if I’ve done any updating in Studio that the icons of the places would rearrange chronologically.
If this is the way the Creations page is supposed to be designed it seems kind of wonky to me. “Last updated” should refer to either the last time it was saved from Studio, or updated on the game’s page. Updates to a game shouldn’t have to be mentioned in the description for them to be sorted properly.
However, some good news is the issue with the Show Public Only button seems to be working for me now after I clicked on it.
I’m popping in here to add on because I believe the issues I’m having are relevant to whatever is causing the issues in the original topic:
Create page is a mess, changing pages in developer items doesn’t change pages, it instead shows the items from the previous page, but when you click the “next” button again, it completely skips what it was supposed to show in the last page.
Should I send a message to the bug-support group to open a new issue or would this fit with this one?
