Creating a good and organized game [ADVICE]

Hello Developers,
I am thinking about making a good and organized game on the Roblox platform. Are there any tips on how to make a game like this?
Thanks!

Well, look at the top three popluar games:
-Adopt Me!
-Welcome To Bloxburg
-Royal High
What do all of them have in common? RP games, Lowpoly (mostly), mobile friendly, not a lot of action.
So, I suggest you make a game that is (a): RP game, lowpoly, moblie friendly, not a lot of action.

In my opinion, try to make something that attracts children. Use bright colors and simple ideas that children would like. Some ideas would be like simulators, roleplays etc. Have good uis, gfx, building, and scripting mechanics. Try to get investments to bid robux on ads. Maybe put like 6-10k robux on ads a day and see how that works. Also, try to make friends with big developers and be engaged in the Roblox Twitter community as I found that Twitter is a good place to grow your fanbase/game. Also, come up with a catchy name, if your going with a studio group, I like greek god names like Athena Studios or something. Also if you want to make a simulator, do something simple like homework simulator, or coffee simulator. Do something basic, but also engaging and fun at the same time.

Well personally I’ve not made a complete game for myself yet, still working on it, but something I’ve been thinking about when making a game is to make attention grabbers that way you get more playtime which in the end causes it to spread to others and that makes you the big bucks.

As for making an organized game, you may be working on a budget or probably doing a project solo just pay attention to the little details because the little details is what make people come back for more. As @KeysOfFate said its all about determination. Just stick to your dreams and try to make something different and unique :grinning:.

It depends on what you prioritize, money or making something you want to make. If you’re looking only to make money, you should build the game around the purchases. Don’t slap them on at the end, it’ll make them seem optional, thus reducing the money output. If you want to make a game you would like to play, plan it out and think about what kind of game you want it to be. Do not start before you know exactly what you’re going to be doing, or else it’ll feel cobbled together and less fun.

And also tablet and console friendly.

I don’t see the idea of making a game that is attractive to attract children’s attention. For me, that is using kids to be famous and make money, unless you really want to create a kid game, although the idea would not be good because the average age that Roblox plays is 8-28. The bold colors are for 4 year olds, not 8 year olds, but that is my opinion. I do not want to be rude.

Easier said than done. I don’t really know what you exactly mean by that either. Shouldn’t all games strive to be organized and good? This is also a bit of a loaded question due to the lack of information you bring to the table. My only advice would suggest making a game you would want to make so you can enjoy making it.

Firstly, don’t try to make a game if you don’t have experience in any kind of deving (scripting, building,ui)
and don’t try to make a game unless you have deep pockets as making a game by yourself is quite a hard task.

Most popular games are lag friendly (tend to be lowpoly) not only for less lag but the aesthetic.
You need to keep a healthy balance in your life and not dump hundreds of hours into a game nobody will ever play.
If you’re an unorganized person or can’t put together a schedule or tasks together then you should hire a game project manager.

Things worth noting in making a good game:

  • A unique idea (optional)
  • Well made builds/UI and voice acting.
  • Make your game fun and enjoyable
  • Good ads
  • You’ll probably need a group.

The question you asked is pretty broad and the answer is complicated. Hope this answerhelped
