Creating Extra Limbs on a Player Character

Hello, everyone!

I’ve decided on creating something new recently, I am wanting to make it so that on an event or whenever I choose the player character will gain an extra set of arms (granting the player 4 arms instead of 2) or back to 2 arms.

I have no clue where to start with this, considering I would also like to be able to animate it as a custom rig. Any advice?

You may be able to set this up similar to the regular character, but would have to either animate special animations, or in the case that Humanoids wouldn’t allow extra joints to be made, completely rescripting the Character.

I’m fine with creating special animations, but is it possible for me to say clone the arms and rename the parts/welds/attachment names?

Are the arms meant to have any functionality, or are they meant for looks?

Im planning on adding accessories to them, but otherwise no they do not.

R6 or R15, because the difference between them can make this quite a bit easier.

R15 of course, R6 would make this way too complicated

I’m going to try adding a single extra arm, but the changes can most likely be duplicated easily. Adding joints onto the Collar attachments seems to be a good option, at least if you want it to look something like this:image

Alright then cool beans. Thanks! I’m attempting solutions as well and ill put them here if I find anything

So how would I connect the arm to the attachment? I’m wanting the arm to hold an accessory and be animatable.

Motor6D, similar to the other joints, I think.

Awesome!! Thanks so much dude!

I may have added too many limbs :frowning:

I just added a Motor6D in the RightUpperArm to keep it on and attempting to test it crashed Studio…

I just got it working using exactly what you had suggested
