Unlike triangle terrain, smooth terrain is more realistic.
I’m trying to make a really huge map, and I want to make it realistic.
Making the map with smooth terrain causes performance loss.
So, How can I make a huge map with smooth terrain with any performance loss?
I’m actually currently doing that, and surprisingly for me, the map isn’t super laggy. I’m not sure how large you want your map to be, but here’s an example of mine that actually works well:
Of course, this is probably way bigger than what you’re going for, but I’d say just try it! Make the map as big as you want, but be sure to enable streaming so that way it’s less of a toll on a player’s computer. However, if you want to add a lot of parts to an area, then you’re really going to have a performance drop, so be careful with that
