Hello guys! I want to make a large forest using fairly simple tree models.I have no way to create models using a blender, that’s why I create meshparts in a completely different way. In roblox studio I select a few parts and export using “Export selection”. A file.ico is created, which I load into studio. My question is, does this have a better optimization effect than if I were using regular grouped parts?
It likely has adverse effects for this specific case, actually. Exporting the selection just creates a terribly unoptimized MeshPart that usually would be better to just keep as Parts. Keeping them as Parts also enables you to make edits to them easier later on.
However I need to stress that this is for this specific situation assuming the assets in the picture are the ones you’re referring to.
Well, thanks. then I’ll start making my idea using regular models, with a minimum amount of details, smooth plastic and with streaming enabled.
