I am making an underwater game, and I am hoping someone can provide some insight on how I should be doing the terrain. I struggle with terrain, and that struggle has only been multiplied working on a game that relies on Roblox’s terrain so much.
I’m not really sure where to begin or the technique I should be using. I look at games like Scuba Diving at Quill Lake by @ColonelGraff who is an amazing terrain developer, and it’s filled with underwater cliffs, mountains, steps, and the thing that has been the hardest for me: depth changes. I have no idea how to do something similar. Do you start with a flat piece of baseplate terrain and sculpt it from there, or do you make everything from scratch using the draw tool? Any answers, tips, or words of advice are greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your time!
