Creation of a new marketplace search "sets" for discoverability

As a UGC creator with a large catalogue, I’m finding the ability to help players discover themed sets of items is increasingly difficult.

I’d like to suggest a new tab under the “Filters” section for the catalogue, a dropdown menu that would list submitted “set types” by creators.

To be verified for a set, the category would have to have at least 50 items in it. And of course would be creator agnostic (so not limited to one creator or another).

For example, here are a set of items that is probably easy for a player to think of and search on their own. Catalog - Roblox , a player might think of cows and search for it easily…

BUT, a user might not even think to search for “Angel Armor” or “Water Dragon” or “Candycane” or “Elf” or “Fireworks” or “Cheese”.

Common terms are easy enough to think of and use, but more niche items that players don’t even know exist (but would want to buy) are much harder to come up with. And scrolling through item type categories alone would have more niche items many many pages in.

I believe this would help niches find a market and offer players an easier / friction free way to explore the catalogue more fully. Ultimately increasing sales on the marketplace.

It would take up minimal room on the website and be entirely optional to engage with / explore.

This is a good idea!! It would really help players discover more items on the catalog. With more and more items being added each day, an easier way to discover things would help boost the sales for Roblox.

Pretty sure there was a feature on very early Roblox called by the same name which allowed a user to add multiple models into one Set in order to be used in-game or in Studio with tools such as stamper tool. Obviously as Build Mode and PBSs disappeared, so did the Sets.

This feature could be remade, with the same concept of users grouping models into a set, then being able to share it on the website in some sort of special tab just like YouTube’s playlists.
