I’ve been finding myself quickly getting used to the new creator dashboard. There’s actually some nice quality of life changes, my favorite being “Copy Asset ID” which is a major… well asset to have when dealing with a bunch of assets you need to copy down.
My first request is a larger one. I wish the Upload Asset window did not take me to a new page to enter a title and description. When I need to upload a handful of assets, it’s tedious to switch page to page for each new asset. Keeping everything within the same page is functionality the old Create page had that I do miss when doing bulk uploads.
Then one smaller request! I wish the […] button on the right was larger and left less padding for the main button of the asset. While copying down a bunch of AssetIDs, it’s very easy to miss the button and click the item which takes you to an entirely new page.
The upload asset not going into a new page is also a Quality of Life improvement I would like to see changed.
The old dashboard didn’t do this and now that the new one does, it makes it much more apparent how much more friction has been added when I need to upload a bunch of assets at once, especially when for the most part I only really care about uploading the asset and not setting the name/description to it.
In fact, it would be exponentially easier if I could just bulk upload assets similar to the asset manager in studio, this would remove a ton of tedium in having to go through a temp place to reach the asset manager just to upload all my assets once.
I’d like to see this done because I tend to use studio in places not published, so in order to upload assets I either need to publish the place to get access to bulk asset publishing or I need to go to the website to manually upload each asset.
The new creator page makes uploading individual assets quite a headache for my use case. I don’t think I should be required to publish every place I make assets for, and the old page allowed me to do still do it with a tiny bit more speed.
Thanks for the feedback, it’s super helpful. We’re working on improving the upload flow as we speak, this will include multi-file upload so that you don’t have to switch between pages.
Of all the things that should be tweaked on the creator dashboard, the main struggle I want fixed, is this
I can’t stand the pagination, it’s tedious and time consuming having to go page-by-page on here, the fact it’s not anchored in place and moves around when you change pages adds insult to injury.
We need the “Show more” feature from the old develop page that lets you continuously scroll down further and further. And if you think you may have missed what you’re looking for, you can just scroll back up instead of waiting the 4-8 seconds it takes to change each page.
