Adding on to this, I honestly find it a bit inconvenient having to click the back button or open a new tab (or search Roblox again) when I try to return to Roblox after browsing the marketplace and dashboard.
Aw man I wanna keep the old one
I despise the creator dashboard, please allow us to opt-out of it and continue to use the develop pages.
This should copy the Product ID rather than Asset ID to the clipboard. If you try paste this ID into MerkatplaceService:PromptProductPurchase()
it will fail.
The list of developer products also constantly refreshes, when switching tabs or focusing a different window. Occasionally the products will fail to load and require a full refresh of the page. Dont hide the already loaded products when refreshing, it makes it feel clunkier
Please may I highlight this bug as a matter of urgency. www should not go offline until this is fixed.
Also I really feel like we need a mass decal upload feature. Although the usage of the words “Max number of files” seems promising
This change is fine. All I want is that users are able to give feedback on assets that everyone can use and you can view the comments on the assets in the Creator Marketplace. I also love the modern look to the website!
I also find a great need to have the ability to download old versions of a game through the version history page. I use this feature very frequently and would not like to see it go away.
Honestly I do like the general changes, I just hope some more quality-of-life updates get made before the forced switch. One of the things I’ve personally noticed, and I don’t think it’s been mentioned yet, is that using the “back” button on a group asset puts you back on your personal page instead of the group the asset is from. It’s not a major issue or anything, but it’d save some time in my workflow if I could more easily just go back to the group whose assets I’m working with. Opening them in a new tab works as a workaround, just not ideal.
You should file feature requests on improvements you want to see to the Creator Dashboard so that engineers and product managers are able to improve your experience with the Creator Dashboard. Saying you despise the creator dashboard is unconstructive feedback and does not help anyone. Furthermore, it does not make sense to continue maintaining the old develop pages, which are objectively worse, as it wastes engineering resources. Most developers now prefer the creator dashboard over the old develop pages which offers a better experience and more features such as analytics.
Is there going to be a way to download the version history of Roblox places in the creator dashboard? I’ve been doing this before using the BTRoblox extension, but it is not updated yet to work with the dashboard, so it would be nice if this feature was implemented already.
Unpopular opinion: I really, really like this style! Not too sure why, I just find it so good-looking. I would love an theme option on the Roblox website for this style, like the Roblox Dark theme here on the DevForum.
For stuff like Dev products, could we maybe have an easier way top get the ID of them? ATM you can only copy the asset ID & there is no way to directly open a link to the Dev Product or/ copy its ID.
I’ve been using the Creator Dashboard for a while now and I want to say I’m having a lot of issues with it.
One of the main issues is that the icons take a long time to load, despite having a really quick internet speed.
Another issue I personally had with the creator dashboard, is that everytime I open an asset in a new tab, the tab I opened becomes the active tab, and this can get quite annoying if I want to open multiple tabs and edit multiple assets, would be better if we had an option to open in a new tab without that new tab becoming the active tab. Also most of the times, when I switch back to the main tab and then open new assets, the “options” button for other assets than the one I previously clicked on, won’t appear until I press anywhere on the page, which is really annoying. The button should disappear as quick as I hover my cursor off. I don’t think the creator dashboard is complete as it is right now, and there are still a lot of issues yet to be fixed.
As others may have suggested above, WE SHOULD also be able to open a link directly to the item on the Roblox website. For example, accessories/clothing, audios/decals/images/meshes/models, badges & game passes.
And while being here, It would be nice if Roblox would moderate our audios first, and then give us the choice of having the audio uploaded or no. It’s annoying to upload an audio that’s been falsely moderated, but still waste an audio slot. We should upload the audio and if it passes moderation, then we should have the choice to leave it uploaded or no.
The way that would work is, once the audio is uploaded, we have the choice to keep it, which allows us to use it in experiences we work on, or probably make it public in the future (and use an audio slot)
And if we choose not to keep it, the audio shouldn’t be usable by any experience (similar to archived audios as well as not using an audio slot). This would prevent people from uploading bypassed audios, and also become more convenient for developers stuck with 10 or 100 audios per 30 days.
Another idea I have, is being able to delete models/audios/decals/images/meshes off the platform without having to archive them. I would like to delete a few things I uploaded from the website.
I’m working forward for this update, however, I would be really happy if there would be some changes made to the way the creator dashboard works. It doesn’t feel complete as it is right now!
How do you run ads through the dashboard?
I have a few things I would like to suggest.
I have a lot of models and decals, so it would be nice if there was an option to display more than 32 items on a page at a time. Maybe there could be a dropdown box with various options to choose how many items to display, such as the one from the transactions page:
Or make it where you could input a specific page number at the bottom of the grid to jump to, similar to this:
Yeah, I’d have to say this is my main problem with search functionality on the website in general. They already apply filtering to the titles of assets, so why are we filtering the search bar? Literally WHY would any engineer decide it’s a good idea to filter something that no other users can see (it is not a chat function), and is meant to be a utility function to INDEX THE WEBSITE? My game Zombathon randomly started filtering in search years ago and it impacted discoverability on top of the mountain of other discoverability problems that have amassed since 2017, or even before that with the removal of genre searching. It’s frustrating to say the very least.
This is great! How about you give us the functionality to advertise our games since it’s not THERE and you’re going to FORCE this update on us
Honestly the Creator Dashboard would look messy with ads on it especially in dark mode since the ads would be brighter than the whole website which is distracting.
