Creator Fee is 40% instead of 30%?

I’m not 100% positive if this is the right category but this honestly looks like the best place to ask.

I have an item for sale that is 11,428 Robux (After 30% fee is equal to 8000 Robux).

I made a sale earlier today and it took a 40% cut instead of 30%. Is this a glitch or an update? I checked the shirt and it still says I keep 70% of the money despite it taking 40%.

Does anyone know anything or where I might can go for help? Thank you and sorry if this is the wrong topic.

If the sale was made in a game other than your own, 10% of your revenue goes to the owner of the game where the sale was made. This is how games like pls donate and catalog games make money.

The user claims the bought the item directly from me, not through a game. If they did buy it through a game it would be specifically violating the TOS they agreed to. Is there by some chance something else?

Unless it’s a visual bug I don’t know any other reason.

Is there a way to prevent this from being sold in other groups or games? it’s unfair to me that people can make their own game, sell it through their game, and take 10% of the cut. I would like to disable this feature if possible.

As far as I know, there is no way to prevent this. Unless you’re using group funds then you’re taking a gable every-time you want to be paid.

Why does Roblox not have a simple solution to these problems, I’m just trying to be successful and now I’m taking a 40%+ hit on items I sell.

100% - money spent

30% - original creator
40% - marketplace (either a game, or roblox website)
30% - sales tax (roblox)

When a creator sells your item, you aren’t losing any money. The 40% is just going to a creator instead of to Roblox. Therefore you are getting additional sales you otherwise wouldn’t have gotten.

tl;dr - worst case you are not losing money, best case you are making more.

Even better - if you sell the item in your own game, you get both the 30% creator cut and the 40% marketplace cut. So you earn 70%.

This is not what I said, I am talking about T-Shirt where I was paid for scripting commission. I lost out on over 10% of what I should have been paid. This IS UNFAIR to me. It would for 8000 Robux so I made the shirt 11,428 (8000 after fees) but since the person did the whole 10% ordeal I only ended up with 6,800. That is a pretty decent cut compared to what I should have gotten paid.
