I agree. Not just the moderation system, but the DMCA system aswell. It’s very easy to use the DMCA system against innocent users.

Thank you to the Roblox Team for this much needed feature!

While I’m very happy to see this I also think its a let down for alot of us as we should have had this years ago but I digress. And I pray that it’s not specific to only the unified lighting. :pray:

I haven’t tried it since it first released as a beta feature, Had lots of lighting glitches and the distance for further lights shadows being turned off being closer then in the Future lighting makes it undesirable for games that rely on the long distance lights to look good. Maybe yall have a fix in mind for it but The light range limit should be atleast 200.

We as game devs should make a petition to raise the Light range limit to :white_check_mark: 200 instead of :x: 120.

And for the argument of Optimization, That Should be up to the game dev whether they want to prioritize the performance or the graphics. just saying :man_shrugging:

Delayed doesn’t mean cancelled or unimportant!

Many delayed features do have a lot of effort being put into them and just didn’t manage to make their intended release date thanks to the wide variety of difficulties one runs into doing software development.

any news on the session locking feature mentioned here?

It would be really amazing to run sandboxed Luau code within the engine in a safer mechanism than needing to write custom systems aound getfenv. Script Capabilities is a step in the right direction, but it’d be nice to create an isolated VM that player code can run in rather than letting it live directly in the datamodel and having the same (albeit restricted) execution policy as game scripts.

For learning code, I would agree that using a DSL like Scratch’s visual system would be better where I can control what can be compiled, but it would be nice to allow users to write code directly in Luau without needing to worry about sandbox breakouts.

256 Minimum. A super small range to a slightly bigger range is not exactly helpful. Roblox games are constantly growing in scope and scale and this does nothing other than quite literarily just jingling keys in front of us with the prospect of actually usable/UNLIMITED light ranges. I can hop in any other game engine with the ability to set light ranges at a couple kilometers MINIMUM.

Make it optional. No need for a delay. Just simply make it optional.

Look… I like the idea but im not sure how well would this work. You guys also own Guilded and barely did anything with it in the last 4 years other than, no offense, absolutely annihilate the original guilded communities. Is there absolutely no way to get some use out of this app? Making a forum feature while owning an actual forum application seems a bit redundant.

Looking good for 2025! I’m excited for everything here.

Lighting range limit of 120 studs will be a GODSEND. Still not enough for things like space games and we NEED at least a 256 stud limit at some point, but it’s a huge improvement. Hopefully soon we’ll have infinite lighting range!

And, I hope that a skybox overhaul finds it’s way on the roadmap soon. At the very least, customizability for sun color and SunRays color would be phenomenal.

that’s it? where’s the harmony framework thing? where’s more efficient utilization of CPU/GPU resources? where’s actual efforts in making roblox run better on more kinds of hardware?
seems kinda unrelated, but like i feel it would be at least somewhat important to optimize the engine so higher fidelity stuff can run better (especially on mobile)

if you listened to feedback, then why are there no user ads and lowered price floor in terms of running ads? i understand that everyone views the ads manager differently, but it just ain’t enough and i don’t wanna commit a sunk cost fallacy (and yall made the recommended for you section take up way too much space from making stuff 16x9, which is just brilliant if roblox decides to throw your continue playing way down or something)

the phrasing of this theme makes no sense, but i would appreciate a blocklist so those scam bots could be properly culled
