Hi Creators,
We’re excited to share our first update to the Creator Roadmap of the year! Since we last updated the roadmap, we’ve shipped over 45 features, including significant updates to Studio, Assistant, discovery, our voice safety classifier, Cube 3D/Mesh Generation API, and the Text Generation API, which we announced at GDC last month.
After hearing your feedback on Ads Manager, we shipped a significant update including custom 16x9 images and the ability to optimize for maximum plays. Also, as part of our goal of making experience discovery transparent and actionable, we launched improvements to the Recommended for You Algorithm.
On Creator Hub, we launched the Data Stores Manager, which allows you to review a complete list of your Data Stores plus usage, and we launched the ability for you to reorder Badges. We also recently opened up the bug reporting category in DevForum to all creators, and as a result, we’ve closed over 2,000 bugs since our last update, more than ever before.
These are just a few awesome highlights of what we launched since our December update. You can find a full list near the bottom of this post.

Looking ahead, we’ve got some big updates that we’ll be launching over the next few months. Providing you with more customization and control of what you can build on Roblox, opening up new genres, enabling fair and competitive gaming, supporting new ways to customize your UI, and much more.
Here are some highlights of some upcoming launches that we hope you’re as excited about as we are:
-
Server Authority (Beta): The Server Authority beta is coming this Summer, to designate the server as the single source of truth for game actions, logic, and data. This is a huge effort, and we want to make sure we get this right, but our goal is for a full release by the end of the year.
-
Custom Matchmaking: Last week, we announced early access to Custom Matchmaking, allowing you to adjust the weights of our existing matchmaking signals and add your own custom signals. We’re planning on extending it to all creators this summer.
-
UI Styling: We’re introducing Stylesheets that will allow you to change the look and feel of your UI with one click. We aim to launch a beta of this feature in the next couple of months.
-
Asset management & privacy: Currently in beta, our new Asset Manager will soon be fully released. We’ll provide more control to choose who has access to you and your Groups’ assets across asset types.
-
Revenue reporting: We’re working to make all creator finance reporting centralized and reliable, all in one place.
-
Group-to-Group experience ownership transfer: We’ll soon enable group owners to shift ownership of experiences from one group to another.
-
Range limit for lights: We’re increasing the range limit for lights to 120 studs.
We’ve added 16 items to the roadmap, most of which we’re aiming for a release through mid-2025; you can find the full list below!
One last reminder! The legacy chat system is being removed on April 30th; you can learn more about how this might impact your experience(s) and how to migrate to TextChatService here.

Creator Hub is your key to success
Collaborate more efficiently as a team
Overhauled navigation (Mid 2025)
As Creator Hub continues to grow, the navigation needs to ensure that everyone can find what they need, quickly. We will be overhauling the experience-level, and top-level navigation to better highlight the right things to the right people at the right time.
Group revenue reporting (Mid 2025)
With the migration of Transactions and revenue reporting pages to Creator Hub, we will also improve the feature set so you can more easily manage your Group’s financial reporting.
Group-to-Group experience ownership transfer (Mid 2025)
You can already transfer ownership of your experience from your account to a Group. This adds the ability to shift ownership between Groups.
Create however you want
Studio & Engine Performance and Stability
Find All/Replace All optimization (Mid 2025)
Speed up finding and refactoring in Studio, eliminate a well-known hang and optimize memory usage, contributing to overall Studio Stability and usability.
Generative AI accelerates creation
Assistant scripting workflow improvements (Mid 2025)

OpenCloud Developer Product Management APIs (Mid 2025)
We will be launching OpenCloud APIs with API key auth support to allow creation and management of DeveloperProducts, enabling you to manage your virtual economy resources with your own preferred workflow.
More OpenCloud APIs usable from the Engine (Mid 2025)
As we alluded to in the January Creator AMA, we’ll be expanding the set of APIs you can use directly from game servers and plugins. We’re starting with select Groups, Inventory, and Creator Store Search APIs.
Improved Context Action Service (CAS) (Mid 2025)
We’re rewriting CAS to create a platform agnostic, data-driven action map to streamline cross-platform development. This will make it easier for developers to write custom actions with better default inputs, while also providing a visual interface for customization.
glTF export beta (Mid 2025)
glTF export enables creators to export their 3D files for further editing in their tool of choice. The first milestone, glTF Beta, enables creators to export their own (uploaded) assets. Future milestones will enable creators to export other assets they may have access to.

As always, we want to be transparent when items on our roadmap slip past their original date or are put on hold. We want to make sure we’re thoughtful in what we launch, hold ourselves to a high-quality standard, and constantly adjust our roadmaps to focus on the highest priority issues. Why did you launch something that wasn’t on the roadmap?
- The Creator Roadmap is not a comprehensive list of everything Roblox is doing (it’s hard to summarize what 2000+ people are working on!). Some examples of reasons why products may not show up on the roadmap are:
- User-facing products that require no action from creators
- Products that require us to coordinate or integrate with third parties, for example, Meta Quest and 17+ experiences. This can result in uncertainty in our ship dates or we may not be able to communicate in advance until the other party is ready.
- Products we’re holding to announce at RDC
- Products we aren’t sure are going to be impactful or have enough funding to hit their dates
Why did a feature slip past its target date?
- We do our best to forecast realistically, but sometimes features take longer to ship than anticipated or other features take precedence. As some of you may know, software scheduling estimation is an imprecise art.
Why is an item that was shipped no longer on the roadmap?
- To keep this roadmap forward-looking, we remove features from the roadmap that shipped over 6 months ago. This is not an indication that the feature is no longer being supported, but rather to keep the roadmap a reasonable length. You can always review past updates on the DevForum to catch-up!
Why is something on the Creator Roadmap site and not included in this DevForum post?
To keep this post short, we only include items on the roadmap that have changed; if they’ve been added, shipped, or delayed. You can always check the full roadmap on the site which we keep up to date.
