Same. Haven’t been able to get the player or studio to work since I believe Wednesday afternoon. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled both numerous times. Cleared temps. Tried from the browser, tried different browsers. Disabling antivirus/firewall. Everything short of reinstalling windows. Was working one minute and an hour later it doesn’t do anything trying to open either one.
Get this error trying to reinstall studio.
That’s weird, my studio works just fine when I just tried.
Do you have anything like MSI afterburner or the MSI Center running? Just trying to figure out if there’s any correlation since it’s not ISLC.

I do not. Everything has been working great. Didn’t install anything new or make any changes and all of a sudden, neither will load.
And I have a report in my crashes folder but it says install was successful at the end.
When I try to run player, I can see the process begin in my task manager but within a couple seconds, it just ends itself.
I’m probably wrong but I believe that’s the log you get for actually installing and not when running. I have seperate files for my run but it’s all before I had this issue (Wed 4:30pm)
Right, I believe so. So it’s installing, it just cant launch the player.
Yes Wednesday afternoon was around same time this started for me too. It has to be on their end with whatever update. Hopefully they can fix it soon.
Yeah it is on their end, 99% sure it’s a Hyperion conflict and that’s effectively what Jaded was suggesting. Just in the process of sending my crashlog over now to get confirmation. Might be worth you doing this too.
Even if this is the cause though, they probably wont release an update just for a tiny portion of the playerbase, especially considering windows store version works (even though its terrible)
Hi. I was in the process of sending these files to you. They were both 533mb with what looked to be identical metadata however I got an error when sending them over but no explanation as to why.
Can I contact you elsewhere or use a file sharing platform?
You only need to send one of them. Procdump tends to create two mostly identical ones in its default mode of operation.
Any file sharing host works with me. Google Drive is a great choice , just make sure your sharing permissions allow me to download it.

I’m not seeing any crash dumps. for me it appears in task manager for a second or two, then closes. there’s not any .dmp files inside my logs folder. i searched the entire localappdata folder but found nothing.
There is the installer log though. It says “failed to start client App” and gave me the error code 0
