Hey, I’ve been working on Crystal Tycoon for the past couple months as a solo dev. I’ve always always loved tycoon games but felt like they were all too similar on Roblox, and so I decided to create this game.

It’s also good to note this is my very first time developing a game. I basically learned scripting and game development in general while making this, so any feedback is greatly appreciated!

The UI could use an upgrade. Other than that its amazing!

Thank you. I agree, I plan on commissioning an actual gfx artist for the icons. It’s really not my strong suit.

Here are some tips. Make an outline for the ui and make it bigger when you hover over it. You can also make it make a sound when you hover over the button and when you click it.

You can also add transitions when you want to open something like rebirth thingy

The chat seems a bit low on mobile(not sure if it’s the same in PC)
I like the idea with how you wanted to make the game though!

:sunny: List of Bugs/Suggestions

  1. As @TestMe102 said, the chat is slightly low, so you might want to position it higher. I like how it shows your actual username when you hover over someone’s display name though!

  2. The buttons in-game are a bit too big and are positioned slightly lower on Laptop, which looks slightly weird.

  3. A more detailed tutorial is needed. I was a bit confused after the tutorial ended, because it only explained about the UIs on my screen, but not how we can earn money, or about the fairies etc.
  4. Just found this random red part sitting here. Is this meant to be a bug or on purpose?

I didn’t finish exploring the rest of your game for any bugs/issues to be reported, but these are what I observed so far. I just want to say that I do like the little things, like little chunks of rocks spraying out when you mine them, and the highlight when you go near Shops/Places.

Thanks a lot for this, I do also feel like the tutorial is lacking. I wanted to make it as short and sweet as possible since I myself and most people don’t like them. I feel like I could squeeze in more important info though that’s for sure! I’ll fix those big buttons too actually.
