CSG- Incompatible Instances

Good morning DevForum,
A few months ago, I discovered how you can make a hole in a part by negating and unioning a part. I’m trying to do that today with a union of 26 other parts, but it says “Selection contains CSG-Incompatible Instances”. I don’t have any decals on it. The union contains cylinders and squares. Can someone help me?

Are they grouped? are they meshes?

No, they are a union. They are not meshes either.

I think the part that you select is like a mesh… can you show the part that you created

I tried to group it instead of making it a union and it still isn’t working.

Yes. Would I have to keep it as separate parts and then union it?

You cannot union models if you want to union it ungroup it then union
