CSG Triangle Wireframe

It would be useful if we could enable CSG triangle wireframe (on a separate union) to do a union analysis.

You don’t want to see it, A union’s geometry is a hellish abomination that should be transported to an island in the middle of the atlantic ocean and then nuked.with a tsar bomba. Twice.

You didn’t convince me :stuck_out_tongue:

mmmm shouldn’t this not be a union specific thing, but a wireframe mode that can be applied to any object with geometry?

It may, but you won’t do much about geometry of e.g. a single brick :stuck_out_tongue:

This feature does actually exist, but its disabled by default.

To enable it:

  1. Go to the folder where Roblox Studio is located.
  2. Create a folder called ClientSettings
  3. Create a file called ClientAppSettings.json
  4. Write in the file: {"FFlagEnableRenderCSGTrianglesDebug":"True"}
    From there:
  5. Restart Roblox Studio.
  6. Go to the setting under the rendering tab, and check the property called RenderCSGTrianglesDebug

Hmm… I don’t see any changes :frowning:
I have that property in the settings but it just doesn’t seem to work.

Hmmm, it seems to only support unions that were created locally in the place.
If you seperate the union and then union it again, it should show the wireframe.

Still nothing :frowning:
Mind taking a screenshot of how exactly the file need to be placed?
Maybe I just placed it in the wrong place.

If you put it inside of the content folder, it shouldn’t be there. It should be in the same directory that the content folder is located in.

Well, I just wish we get some kind of trigger for that.
