CSRS V1.8 Update Log

What’s New:

This update redesigns the vast majority of the reactor control system. The control room has been removed, and all controls have been transferred over to the core chamber, which has also been redesigned. The corridor leading to the control room has been removed and in its place a security checkpoint has been added.

The rundown:

Added:

  • Status screens throughout the facility
  • More monitors in the core chamber
  • Control stations in the reactor chamber, as follows:
  • Alpha ; Fans
  • Beta ; Plasma Injectors
  • Gamma ; Chamber Controls (NF)
  • Delta ; Shield Controls (NF)
  • Epsilon ; Converters (NF)
  • Zeta ; Emergency Controls

(some control stations are still unfinished, and are entirely visual for now!)

Changed:

  • The core chamber and its design
  • The control desks and their design
  • Control desk details
  • Control desk details are now interactive
  • Removed the startup cutscene (impractical in the new chamber)
  • Rewrote the thermal systems

Fixed:

  • An error where the thermal systems would fail to boot because “failed to initialize
  • A bug where maintenance announcements would use the old voice
  • Building errors near the med lab
  • Hallway segments being incorrectly coloured when damaged

Known Bugs:

  • The black hole does not pull in players in this build
  • Sometimes, on shutdown, the reactor effects remain visible due to a particle system issue
  • Sometimes the COSMOtram does not stop during a meltdown/stall
  • VIP server admin commands do not work in this build
  • Office/reception desks and tasks do not yet work in this build
