Recent improvements to Roblox’s website introduced dynamic page navigation, removing the need for full-page reloads when clicking links (e.g., catalog items, Charts tab). While this dynamic navigation is a commendable UX improvement, it unintentionally broke the previous Ctrl+Click behavior, which previously opened links in a new browser tab.
Prior to the latest update (~24 hours ago), using Ctrl+Click on catalog items (e.g., items listed on "Recently Published") reliably opened them in new tabs, allowing efficient multitasking and browsing workflows. Currently, Ctrl+Click behaves identically to a regular left-click, dynamically loading the page content within the same tab, without opening a new tab. The same issue also affects other parts of the website, like the "Charts" section accessed from the homepage.
This unintended behavior disrupts established workflows, forcing users to either manually reopen previously viewed catalog pages or use a slower workaround (right-clicking items, then manually selecting "Open link in new tab"). This significantly reduces browsing efficiency.
I appreciate the efforts of the Roblox engineering team for introducing dynamic navigation, a substantial UX enhancement. However, to maintain productivity, I strongly recommend restoring Ctrl+Click functionality, allowing users to open catalog items and other dynamically-loaded links in new tabs as expected. This adjustment should be straightforward but extremely beneficial.
Not sure who has the jurisdiction to fix this, but will mention a few relevant engineers I know of: @BrightYellowElephant @skpm_plz
