Operation Revamp: Phase 1 Notes

This is a complete list of all changes that will be published for phase 1 of Operation Revamp. Please report any and all bugs you experience.

  • All GUIs have been redone/reworked in both the match and lobby servers
  • The player list will now show who that person is (ex. Staff, investor, premium, etc), their level, and what device they are playing on
  • New Settings menu to control various options to meet your needs
  • Removed the “Most Stars” leaderboard and added “Most Wins” for each type of Survival difficulty
  • Included major support for both Mobile and Xbox players
  • The Inventory menu now allows you to drag and drop towers into available slots
  • Survival game mode has 4 different difficulties and is a combination of both class and battlefield maps
  • Temporarily disabled Competitive, Trial of Xovuso, and Sandbox modes
  • Removed Last Man Standing and Core Collector game modes
  • Updated all challenges to work with the new modes
  • Match Booster cost has been reduced from 950 Gold to 750 Gold per booster
  • Lowered the Gold cost for majority of the towers
  • VIP game pass no longer subtracts placement cost, but instead allows for more Oil Rigs to be placed)
  • Added the “Starter Pack” game pass which has several perks for both new and old players
  • Added the “Orbital Cannon” game pass which gives you the Orbital Cannon tower upon purchase, or you can wait until level 30 to unlock the tower (Previous owners of the Double Start Cash pass already own this) (Earning the tower at level 30 with be implemented in Phase 2)
  • New loading screen gui when teleporting between servers
  • New map voting screen and map shuffling (Map shuffling costs are dependent upon the difficulty of the mode)
  • All maps, towers, and cubes have been shrunk by 33%
  • No more 1x1 grid placement (Because of this, towers can be placed very close to each other
  • New tower hot bar and controls for tower placement
  • Cubes have been converted into a new movement system; So there should be no more cubes skipping/stuttering on the track
  • The ‘Sell All Towers’ button has been moved to the tower info screen
  • A rotating green circle now surrounds your towers to indicate which ones are yours
  • All new tower effects including Explosions, Bullets, lasers, etc
  • All types of TNT Cubes will now temporarily disable towers instead of deleting them
  • Each tower has a temple gain amount - This is used for maxing out a Ra Temple. To max it out, you need 1,000 total points in range of the temple
  • New Victory/Defeat menu - Now shows stats about the match
  • Mobile players now have a type of top down view when placing towers - This makes it MUCH easier to play Cube Defense on mobile

Tower Changes

All towers have been rebalanced and adjusted. Any tower that was overpowered before has been nerfed, and any tower that was terrible before has been buffed. Here are some notes on towers that had major changes.

  • Frost Rail damage/freeze time reduced (Shoots faster, but cannot shoot a cube that is already being slowed - Also, instead of dealing damage to ice cubes, it heals them with the damage it was supposed to do)
  • Orbital Satellite fire rate increased but some reduced damage
  • Temple’s 5th tier will now sacrifice other towers based off of their Temple Power value (1,000 power needed to max)
  • Campfire has been completely redone (Perks include range, shadow sight, upgrade cost, and map healing)
  • Gold mine now gives gold after every wave
  • Bubble tower has been reskinned into a cannon
  • Mounted FlameThrower now does more damage over time, and shows effects for it
  • Plantation nows gives more cash
  • Dat Ice no longer freezes cubes, but slows them down (Kind of like an aoe Glue Gun)
  • Updated effects for mortar and Defabricator
  • Bucket now gives less gold for getting the golden bucket, but it should be a bit more common
  • Reskin for Mounted Minigun and fire rate adjustments
  • Poseidon’s Tomb now shoots a single beam, but that beam has an explosion which damages and slows cubes

Disabled Towers

These towers are currently disabled and do not work for the first version of the update. They will be fully operational within the next week or two.

  • Anti Cube Defense

Disabled Modes

These modes are currently disabled and will be back online in the next couple of weeks.

  • Competitive
  • Sandbox
  • Trail of Xovuso

Phase 2: Coming Soon

This is a short list of things that will be implemented in Phase 2 of Operation Revamp.

  • Competitive, Sandbox, and Trial of Xovuso modes will return
  • All towers will be functional
  • Competitive mode will have a new cube sending feature where you can send cubes to the opposing team
