Custom Built Rigs Joints Changing When Adding A new Mesh To The Rig

i am making an fps game and when i was making the first person arms that holds the pistol i encountered an issue where when i rigged the pistol to the palm of the hand it would make it so the upper arm of the rig would affect the other arm entirely and i’m not sure what’s causing this.

nvm i fixed it, my humanoidrootpart wasn’t anchored
