I was trying to make a custom animation for my custom character. However, The animation will not play. I’ve tried using just Animate and a separate script to update the Animate script.
Gonna need to see the script in order to determine the cause
It is the regular Animate script Roblox has for characters i just changed the id for the walk and run animation in and outside the script.

Have you tried using Animator?
Example:
local Animator = Humanoid:FindFirstChildOfClass("Animator") or Instance.new("Animator", Humanoid)
local Animations = {
["Animation Name"] = Animator:LoadAnimation(script.Animations:WaitForChild("Animation Name")),
}
Animations["Animation Name"]:Play() -- Play anim
Animations["Animation Name"]:AdjustWeight() -- Play weight
Animations["Animation Name"]:AdjustSpeed() -- Adjust speed
Animations["Animation Name"].Priority = Enum.AnimationPriority.Action -- Set priority
Change also the values parented to the Animate script.
I tried that on another script and it didnt work. I dont know if it is the model or the script.
Animation priority? Perhaps some are overriding others, try changing them. Do you own these animations, or the correct body type like R15 or R6, or a custom rig? Or it could be that AssetDelivery is having trouble loading, which can cause the animations to not load.
I tried Animation priority and it still didnt work. The rig is custom but is classified as R6 by the Humanoid I’m not sure if thats the issue, And could explain or elaborate on AssetDelivery if not can you send a link to it?
AssetDelivery in Roblox is the system used to download and cache assets (like textures, sounds, animations, etc.) locally on the players device. These assets are downloaded from Roblox servers when the game is played, and they are stored in a temporary cache. If you dont own the animation → fails. Bad internet connection → fails. Also Humanoids set to r6 for custom rigs is normal has nothing to do with it. I think its the animation itself that causes issues. Or maybe try http://www.roblox.com/asset/?id= instead of rbxassetid:// sometimes this causes problems.
