What do you want to achieve? a belt

What is the issue? whenever i weight paint the overhanging bit of the belt, the character’s legs deform for no reason.

What solutions have you tried so far? Looked for solutions, rerigged the belt, tried different rigs
Originally i planned to leave the overhanging bit of the belt unweighted with different bones so i could add physics, but the legs clipped too much, so then i decided to rig it like ive done for the chains on the belt but once i did the character’s legs started performing circus acts ig lol.
