Hello 
I am currently planning an RPG game with some unique features, so, I am thinking of adding a Custom Character to the game but I am not sure if the players would like that.
A Custom character would give me the freedom of designing some nice armor that would be harder to make for R15 ones, and they would probably look nicer.
But… R15 Characters are “loved” by the community so it isn’t something I can choose right away. I have asked 2 friends of mine and it turned out to be a 1:1.

Honestly I would like to see a RPG with custom characters so it’s more original and more detailed!

Use your own rthro custom character. For me, custom character always make a game unique…
Custom characters are a huge investment to make for a game based on my experience. I’m not saying your game won’t be good, but I don’t think it’s worth it for a roleplay game.
Well depending on what degree of “custom” you’re aiming for, making a complete custom humanoid, clothing, rig etc. is a difficult process.
I think for what it’s worth, stick to R15
I am soley talking about what the players want. The costs etc. don’t matter for now.

Oh, this wasn’t the investment I was specifically referring to. I mean that if you were to add custom characters for a RPG, it wouldn’t really give you much in return, but this is just a bad assumption since I don’t know what potential your game has or much of the details about it.
However if you’d really like to add custom characters, go for it! What’s important is you tried and it made you satisfied
