Custom material lighting issues

The lighting on my custom materials is messed up. This happens alot, but never this bad. What can I do to fix it?

umm, what exactly is wrong with it… what do you see that is wrong?,…

Also for custom materials I usually set the color to white, unless you are trying to change it’s color…

also as you prob know, changing the Material properties can also effect how it will look with different light settings…

have you messed with the Lighting props? depending on your game, I unusually also set it to white, drop down brightness to 1 , and time of day to somewhere around 6.5 - 8 … then use other ways to light up areas…

and also changing some of the other optional lighting settings… color correction, contrast…

I have only changed the time to 7, but different faces of the texture have different brightness levels depending on how I rotate it. Like, its not the lighting form the sun but some sort of issue where a face is brighter than the others. For example, the parts in the photo are the same color, but one is brighter on one face

it is a pain, just have to keep trying materials, also if they are Roblox AI material generated are you telling it to generate all 4 of the surface properties?

ie normal., metal , rough, etc…

I have only seen it this bad in this game, but I was working on something else and the materials all work normally, so I suppose it’s something I did wrong on the surface properties or in lighting (and they’re not ai generated, the ai as I’ve tried it sucks, It cant even make straight lines for me.)
