Data Stores Manager Shows Empty Data Stores

Using the new Data Stores Manager I noticed I had about 200 Data Stores that were no longer in use and only had a few keys inside of them. I wrote some code to remove all of the keys from these Data Stores so that I could get under the 100 limit and be able to view analytics for my Data Stores, however they’re still being displayed even though they’re completely empty.

Expected behavior

I expected that when I removed all keys from a Data Store, and it was completely empty, that Roblox would delete the Data Store.

Hello, unfortunately this is the normal behaviour. A Data Store is also an entity even if its empty and currently it is not possible to delete a Data Store. I’ll explore if theres anything we can do about it but this is the default Data Stores behaviour :frowning:

Understood.

Maybe on the web side you guys can filter out empty data stores to help people get under that 100 Data Stores limit and see analytics easier

Side note:
Something I forgot to mention in the original post – these data stores that I’m seeing seem to be from another game. This is data I’ve never stored, and every piece of data was last updated December 31st, 2019 @ 7PM EST. I believe something got crossed up at Roblox and data was saving to incorrect games.

It looks like the data could be from the game Miner’s Haven, based on the wording and the features it seems to be saving. Maybe @berezaa can confirm?
