Deckbuilding Tilebattler Roguelike

Hello! I’m soon releasing an alpha version of a Deckbuilding Roguelike I’m developing in the next upcoming month.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Deckbuilding Roguelike genre, it’s a game genre that revolves around traversing a randomly generated dungeon, defeating enemies and encountering random events. Throughout the journey, you will be battling in turn-based combat using a deck of cards. Initially, this deck of cards will be moderately weak but you will be able to enhance your deck with new cards after every battle.

Combat will consist of using cards in the Attack, Utility, or Deploy categories, allowing you to defeat enemies with whatever strategies that you can craft with the cards you obtain. Cards can alter the battlefield tiles as well, allowing you to gain powers while standing on special tiles.

Throughout the dungeon, you will also encounter Echoes items that give special boosts to your run such as additional power on combat entry, shielding every x Attack cards played, and many more varied effects allowing for varied synergies.

You can also upgrade your cards throughout the run, giving boosts in damage, reduced energy costs, or range increases.

You will also encounter things like Shops and Events that could potentially alter your run… or harm your chances of making it to the end.
