Decrepit Temple, a small showcase [Ty for feedback, working on it rn!]

Hey, I have created this small showcase over the last few days, and I wanted to ask for critique on how I could make it better, open to any improvements/ideas/judgements, so please don’t hold back. Here are some screenshots and the game link if you would like to experience the showcase yourself.

(sorry for small amount of screenshots, just not much to show, I guess)

Perfect mood, environment and build quality. Great work on it

Look’s great, I assume this is supposed to be ruins of an ancient building. Maybe a little more vegetation around the cave? I see some on the buildings steps, which is good.

Great showcase, but I missed out on a LOT of it because the lighting was so dark. However, lighting is a major part of good showcases, so I recommend adding a flashlight tool. This gives the player:

  • An option to explore with the natural lighting.
  • An option to see parts of the build in more detail.
  • The opportunity to play the role of the explorer who is “discovering” the ruins.

A few other minor suggestions:

  • Locking first person: since the showcase is small, it will make it seem a little bit bigger if you can only look at it in first person.
  • Adding some form of entrance (e.g. a door, rope, tunnel, etc.): Would provide a little bit of backstory to the showcase.

Stuff you already have down:

  • Great use of smooth terrain.
  • Really good color choice for the temple.
  • Consistent building style throughout.

This temple actually looks pretty abandoned and somehow holy. Despite that, it still looks very outstanding and beautiful as well. You did a great job on this!

Nice build! would recommend maybe doing background detailing above the holes it will make the build feel more enclosed and hidden away.

Also with the lighting too, since its in a desert should make it warmer by adding colours like red, yellow or purple on the lighting settings and add the filters like colour correction too to create some cooool atmosphere

Thank you for the great ideas, I was struggling on finding a to get more light to show the build but I couldn’t think of something and was trying to make it with the environment when it could’ve been as simple as a torch,
