Hey! I’ve always had a fear of the ocean so I decided to make a game centered around that!
I tried to immerse the player as best I could, but now Im kinda stuck on the goals of the players and what they should be doing throughout the game, i could use some ideas!
I agree with what CrazedBuilder said, it’s way too dark the moment you enter it.
Anyway, it could possibly be some sort of horror/exploration game revolving around the lost city of Atlantis.
the dark is actually a cool feature because the player can’t see anything he’ll try to look for light!
so you can make one of those fishes with light on it’s head and when a player sees the light from that fish and goes there they will get scared badly
Expanding the antlantis premise, perhaps it could be some sort of artifact collecting game, where you must search through the ruins and find particular artifacts while being hunted by some sort of giant angler fish type monster.
im also terrified of the ocean lol
i agree with crazed on making it darker as you go
the map is pretty empty and as mp3face said you could add some shipwrecks or other things in the map i also really like the audio
also ofc adding sea creatures would help
i think locking it in first person, also maybe some more rocks you could also maybe make some blender meshes like some rocks by using ico spheres and moss on the rocks would also by cool you could use terrain to make it bumpy or even subdivided plane and use proportional editing to make bumpy ground (thats what i always use works really well!) some coral would be cool to you could use a skin modifier on some vertecies (make sure to add height variation so the map isnt just flat and you just walk on the see floor)
idk what the game is about so im not to sure what you would add for gameplay but if your going for and exploration game that could be cool were you maybe spawn on a boat and then you could find new fish or items under water that you could sell to then get more gear or maybe even submarines but if your going for something like subnautica then you could make it a survival game were you have to gather resources and stuff
Very minor but when the oxygen count goes down, occasionally it jerks to the side then returns. To stop this, you should align the text to the left (i think) and obviously reposition the textlabel to compensate.
Very nice though!
