I have been working on a little side project of mines in my free time for a heavily inspired Alien Isolation “game” if it ever gets to that stage… but I would like some pointers on the environment so far. Also note mentioning some props are placeholders and I will be doing another art pass later down the line.
The games art style is more stylized, not really aiming for realism fyi
Love the attention to color variations in lighting. On that, the blue lights in the cockpit and at the opposite end of the ship seem off. They seem either too blue or too bright.
The water drops. Hum, I guess you know that isn’t really working.
Thank you for the feedback ! will look into those accent lights that you mentioned, they do look weird without any actual light source so I may tone down the brightness or swap the colors out, ty for pointing those out
Also the ‘water drops’ are supposed to be saliva from the Alien hiding in the air vent but im no vfx artist haha, I’ll definitely have to revisit that at another time to sell the effect more
Within this past week I’ve had some free time, added in some scripted sequences of the environment art, also added in a few interactables; slowly turning this into a working demo as I expand the environment art in the future
It looks like the yellow grid lights were just added there to fill up space without serving any real purpose. Maybe add text describing what it is or add a control panel.
