NOTES

This serves as a filler update as we get ready to spend the next month grinding out the Summer update. It’s a big update that we’ve been working on for the past few months, though now we’re looking to devote all of our time to this update, so there will be a bit of a longer wait until the next update for Defend The Train or any of our other games.

Progress Report

As those who follow our socials may already know, the main focus of the Summer update this year is the addition of Campaign mode, a game type that has your team complete a mission throughout 10 waves. Campaigns take place on a predetermined train that’re given a special condition with the location revolving around a single track that’s made to look like you’re travelling a specific path as opposed to just moving through randomly selected tracks.

Ghost Town and Forest are the first two campaigns that will be included on the update’s launch! On the top is Road to Forest, the first track that’s seen during the earliest waves. This part is within a generic forest, so enemies will be pretty plain in these parts. On the bottom is Road to Hunting Grounds, the track that’s seen during the late waves of the Forest campaign. By this point, enemies have become much stronger with a larger variety of them being able to spawn.

All campaigns will end with a boss fight, so Ghost Town’s would end with the Bandit Queen while Forest’s would end with Senior & Junior. Exclusive to campaign will be mini-bosses, midway fights that’ll appear halfway through the campaign. They function similarly to boss waves, though the fight is of course made to be easier as the mini-boss is given a shorter list of attacks and has a smaller amount of health.

Ghost Town will feature the Bandit Enforcer, a higher ranking member of the Junkyard Bandits. Her fight will be very unique, so I look forward to being able to share more about the update in the coming weeks! We’ll have a teaser trailer out once we got a release date :v:
