Hello Developers! Over the past few months, (October to now), I have been on and off working on a game. I’ve had breaks of up to two months, which is why the development has been so slow. Anyways, this passion project of mine is now something I’m taking a little more seriously. This is the furthest I’ve gotten into making a game without quitting. The games name? Delivery! The premise of it is you’re in a house, in a neighborhood, with packages being delivered to the houses at random times. The contents of the packages are completely random, and so is pretty much everything in this game. Similar to a minigame, you never know what to expect. Each house’s interior is different, with some holding… lore
I added a couple of other things into the map so the gameplay wasn’t bland. An obby, and a (soon-to-be-released) barn.
Developers, I’m looking for feedback on this game. If possible, I would like to receive feedback on:
Bugs
Entertainment
Map
And really any sort of feedback/suggestion!
Replying to myself again… I’m planning to sponsor this for about 4.5k robux, and I’m worried about retention. Does this game meet good retention, if not, what can I add to help it?
Alright first of all, you should probably add an icon and thumbnail for your game.
And second of all, it’s not really clear where the packages are delivered, couldn’t find them.
Lastly, you should add a tutorial or at least some arrows on the floor pointing towards stuff ya need to do (using PathFindingService or something like that)
Oh and also, is the house supposed to be super big?
Alright well here’s what I think could be added to make it better:
A delivery truck and (maybe a throwing animation)
I’m not sure if it’s just my luck but I kept getting the same packages
It gets a little better boring because it’s repetitive, try to come up with something that makes it unique each time (like change up how the packages are delivered, maybe a guy knocks on your door instead of a truck)
Yep, I do actually agree that its repetitive. For the same packages thing you got, thats probably just luck, I created about 36 events for the package. Anyways, I’m going to take your ideas into account, and probably start working on some of them rn!
I read your game’s premise and played for a few minutes, so far so good! I see that you are going with a ‘set’ game (I thought it would be a random events game til the last person alive, like Lab Experiment, Horrific Housing, etc.) and something I think you could focus on (I also have only played the game for a few minutes, I don’t fully know all that it entails), is player socializing. Events that will show up for everyone, a thunderstorm even, or acid rain. Something that might even announce if/when someone uses, say, an airstrike (I like that airstrike tool lol.). (that could also be used as monetization if you choose, players picking events to happen server-wide). I also agree with the other guy talking in here, I’d say to start rolling out the game a little bit and add some thumbnails and such, as your game is essentially complete, it just needs the polishing (more stuff/tools) (It can already be played is what I mean // It works and isn’t broken). Something else I noticed is that it takes a little bit to travel from house to house (social aspect), and the houses are a distance away from the fast-travel road. Just something to keep in-mind, (players first finding your game aren’t exactly patient!)
Of course everything that I am recommending is somewhat relating to multiplayer aspect and player connecting as thats what I think would fit best for your game’s success/playstyle. Of course don’t depend on my thoughts and think things through. I think that pulling the right strings, you could definitely get some traction with this game idea! Keep up the development and great work so far!
Thank you so much! I actually have been thinking that the map / distances between house to house may be too big. I am definitely going to take this into account! Also, ngl, that post was a huge confidence boost for me.
i played for a bit some stuff is pretty funny! i like the divers diving but maybe a tutoral because i didn’t know what to do at first then after 30 seconds it deliver and that told me! great game
I really like the concept, it’s kinda like the elevator games back then but with more things & more interactions
But I think that it would be better to have a common event for everyone so that people can have fun together instead of by themselves (like maybe a ‘round’ where everyone kills eachother, one where players work together, etc…) in one bigger house. That way, friends can play together in a private server for instace; I can see myself playing that with friends on a gamenight
This game definitely has potential. RNG on Roblox is pretty big right now and as for me playing the game for a couple minutes this is like a Package RNG where when the truck comes and delivers the packages you have a chance to get a package (might not be right just what I’ve seen while I played) Some things I recommend is as you update the game is the map should be a little bit smaller depending on the player count so the players can reach eachother easily if they get the combat items. But for now I would say you could make less distanced houses with different designs so there’s more variety. Another thing is the Ui which you could add like an index for the items you’ve gotten or like Shop Ui you can use for like a bigger chance for more rare items or like a buff of chance for a combat item. But as for the idea of the game it definitely has a lot of potential and I could see it having a good player base. But keep up the work I’d like to see more of this!
