:memo: Interview Guidelines

The following guidelines are for interview host use only, and therefore will not benefit clients or non-staff members of the Dentiez community. I suggest you do not waste your time reading the following document if you are not a Dentiez high-ranking staff member.


The information in this guidelines is copy and pastable. In the case that you are a host and wish to use your own interview transcript, you must show the transcript to the Director of Clinical Services or Staff Director for them to review it and ensure that there are no errors. After this you may utilize the transcript.


Any text that we wish for to copy and paste will be written in a blockquote that looks like this.


Announcing an interview session

Before hosting an interview session, you must first ensure that you have enough time to host the interview session. This is to prevent a canceled interview which would result in confusion and angry interviewees.

If you have come to the conclusion that you have enough time to host an interview session, post the following on the Discord announcements channel, and the Dentiez group shouts:

You must always give interviewees time to see the announcement and join the game. A minimum of 15 minutes and a maximum of 25. (You may alter the time interval in the message above to a time frame of 15 - 20 minutes.


Initiation and server locking process

After the time interval has ended, you announce the following on in the Discord announcements channel and the group shouts:

The interviews have now begun, and the center is locked! If you didn’t make it, please try again next time! For now, head down to the dentistry!

After checking twice to confirm this has been done successfully, you may move onto the introduction.


Introduction to interviews

Please copy and paste your own (if it has been reviewed and allowed by a high-ranking staff member) or the following transcript to introduce the host, co-host and interviewers to the interviewees;

You may use either ;m or ;sm to announce this.

Only the host may use this and any other transcript that requires ;m / ;sm.

I suggest you press the ' key to use the command bar, as not all of the text will fit into Roblox’s message bar.

The interviews are about to begin, you have 15 seconds to take a seat or you will be removed from the server. Please be silent.

Do ;countdown 15 to begin a 15 second countdown.

Greetings, and welcome to my Dentiez interview session! My name is <Your username>, and I’ll be your host for this interview session. Next to me is the session’s cohost and behind me are the people who will be interviewing you during today’s session.

Interviewers, please position yourself around the room so that you can answer any questions people may have during this process without me being interuppted.

Before I move onto explaining the rules, may I just clarify that if you pass these interviews, you will be given the rank ‘Awaiting-Training’, and will have to pass a training in order to become staff.


Rules

Copy and paste the following;

I’ll now move onto the rules you are expected to follow during this interview. If you don’t follow these rules, you will not receive a warning, and will immediately be removed from the interview session.

Rule 1) Trolling during these interviews will not be tolerated.

Rule 2) Patience is a virtue. Regardless of how long you can stay in the server for, we will interview you as soon as we can. Do not beg us to prioritize your interview over others.

Rule 3) Respect your host, cohost and interviewers. They are all rooting for you and WANT you to pass. Don’t be mean to them!

Rule 4) Do not move lines. Once you’ve joined a line, do not move if you see that the door of another one has been opened.

Rule 5) You get one interview and one interview only. If your host decides that you haven’t passed, then you haven’t passed. But interviewers, remember not to fail good interviewees!

Rule 6) If you believe your interviewer has a conflict of interest, speak to the host, you may request another interviewer.


Initiating interviews

We’ll now begin with the interviews, when the panel opens, DO NOT MOVE.

The host may now say ;begininterviews. This will open the white panel behind you. This command, unlike the others, is NOT reversible. So therefore, do not use the command if you’re not ready to begin the interviews yet.

After you’ve used the command, you may now tell all interviewees to stand up and join a line;

You may now stand up and find your way to one of the 4 lines.

After everyone has found a line, ensure that the members in each line are spread out evenly.

When this has been done, use the command ;openline1 to open the first line. If anyone attempts to leave their line and go through the door of that line, kick them immediately.

When all the members of line 1 have gone through, close the line, by saying ;closeline1, to ensure that no one else goes through the door.

You will then say;

If you are in the interview office area, please stand outside an office and wait for your interviewer to come to you. Once an interviewer has assigned themselves to you, I will open the door to the office and your interview will commence.

If you are still in your line, wait patiently for the current interviews to end, and then your line door will be opened.

If not all offices are taken, the host may ;bring people to the offices to ensure that time is being used efficiently.

Continue this process with lines 2, 3 and 4 (if occupied).


List of interview questions

All interviewers must use the following questions to interview their interviewee. If you wish to use your own set of questions, you must first message a Staff Director or Director of Clinical Services to review and verify if your set of questions is okay to use.

Interviewers, please note all staff are required to be in the communications server. Please ensure if you wish to pass an interviewee and they aren’t in the server, that you guide them through the process of joining it beforehand.

  1. Are you in the Dentiez communications server?
  1. When did you join Dentiez, and why? (answer must be detailed)
  1. Can you tell me a little about yourself? (answer must be detailed)
  1. What are your greatest strengths?
  1. What do you consider to be your weaknesses?
  1. Why should I pass you as an interviewee?
  1. Have you ever been in any other groups similar to Dentiez?
  1. Please correct the grammatical, spelling and punctual errors in the following sentence;

“wlecome 2 dentiez. here u can by toothbrushs, geht checkups! u cn socialaize with peoples aswell. amazing, rite?!”


Ending an interview session and promoting passed interviewees

If an interviewer fails an interviewee, you must do the following;

;kick <Username> Sorry you’ve failed the interview, please try again next time!

Please ensure you are removing failed interviewees from the server as the interviews go on, to ensure there is no confusion.

If an interviewer passes an interviewee, you must write their full username down (on notes, or another app), and then do;

;kick <Username> You’ve passed your interview, and will be promoted when they are concluded!

After all interviews have been done, you will do;

;kick all Thank you for attending this interview session!

You will then promote all interviewees who passed.

Please ensure you do not forget to promote a single interviewee.
