Recently, about a month ago, my team and I released a new simulator game. We’ve put so much time, effort, and money into it, and are still actively working on it to get updates out every week. We’re starting to lose motivation, though, because we aren’t getting the feedback we hoped for. I personally don’t think it’s a bad game, but of course as all developers are, I’m biased towards my own games. I’m on here looking for unbiased opinions. Please, give me any and all suggestions, ideas, criticism. We’re lacking especially when it comes to impressions and would love to hear how we’re meant to get more.
The first time I played the game, the tutorial seemed to be broken. When I followed the arrows to the other side of the court, the text didn’t advance and there was no way to close it. Hitting a ball didn’t fix anything and neither did resetting. I played it on two alts afterwards though and it worked fine, so at the moment I’m not exactly sure how it broke the first time.
Also, this tree is unanchored. The same goes for the same tree on the other side of the platform.
This is genuinely the first time I’ve heard from literally anyone that the tutorial is broken, so thank you. If that’s been losing us players, I’m actually gonna cry. Hopefully I can figure out what was breaking it. Again, thank you.
Hello!
I can’t test the game right now, but I have some motivation.
I’m a solo developer who works on a game called Weapon Mayhem. Worked on it by myself since May 6th of 2023.
Up until June 3rd of this year, I always had 0 players, and I kept working on it regardless.
Then boom, game exploded (after some ads and recommendatins.) Now at 2.5k concurrent and still growing.
So don’t give up!! I wanted to for a while, but I didn’t, and now my game’s pretty popular now (I think)
