If thoose are the criteria needed, then people could use bots for their games to get the crowns, and then overload the servers
When MAU is calculated, does it take the sum of all the games you have contributed to?
Or does do you only get rewarded based off the top game you have contributed to?
Edit: Crowns will be rewarded based on the game that has the highest MAU.
Wow, I appreciate that they actually made something for smaller/upcoming developers to be recognized and awarded for their work with this phase. Looking forward to these.
I only see MAU from 2 months ago.
Although you probably need to reach some audience to be able to see it, I guess…
I doubt this will ever pertain to me, but I am curious; what’s the criteria needed to be eligible? Currently I’m unable to find any information, but does a Dev or game need to reach a specific number of visits before they’re considered to meet said criteria?
Confirming this here, it isn’t properly centered even on a default head!
Roblox devs have an eye for this kind of thing, so hopefully it gets fixed
Edit: After noticing my reply got a bit of traction, I felt like it’s necessary to emphasize how badly centered this is.
Here it is in studio on a blocky R15 avatar.
Barely even on the head… How about Rthro? After all, Roblox has been likely focusing their newer hats to fit Rthro instead right?
Oh…
Ideally, Roblox should just make the HatAttachment position 0, -0.25,0
. That seems to fit perfectly on the standard head without any issue.
Update 2 :
Great news, it has been centered
The attachment position is now at 0, -0.25, 0
as I posted in this reply in my previous update.
We have been saved. Thank you for listening to us devrel <3
Kinda sad that I literally have under 100 visits. And sadly my computer broke down so I’m stuck on mobile for a long time, so I can’t develop any games. But great job ROBLOX, These crowns look amazing and I’m happy that hard working Devs are rewarded!
Brookhaven could also, because as we saw it shot up in popularity within a year of it being released, now being the most concurrents as of right now, whereas it took 6+ years for adopt me to reach 400K+ concurrents! So Brookhaven and/or adopt me both have very good chances of getting it.
Thank you for caring about small developers!
However, is there any prevention from more than 5 accounts joining from the same IP? I feel like unless there is preventions, people will use alt accounts to get it.
Does this mean that if someone get 100 players every month they get this?
There’s no reason for them to add extra protection. Sure, maybe some players will make 100 alt accounts to get the gold crown, but every other crown will be simply too much accounts to bot, and if you use that many accounts you would likely get picked up by the system and terminated.
Is this only for one game or can multiple games add up the MAU for a MAU total?
I think its only one game. So check your MAU for your game in Developer Stats.
If someone has mutiple published games, and they each have there own MAU, will ROBLOX pick the game with the best MAU to qualify, or will they pick the first game that pops up?
Looking forward to this!!!
wait does MAU count on how many monthly visits you get or is it something like how many concurrent players you get monthly
edit: oh wait it turns out MAU counts based on how many different players (not visits) join your game monthly
How do you get the Developer Longsword, The instructions for that were not given here, as far as I know.
Also I love how, around 4/23/2021 which is the time I am making this, It is physically impossible for any game, even adopt me, to get the Illumina crown of O’s.
This is amazing and a great way to award developers.
However, one question of mine is that :
What if our team is eligible to receive this item but the owner/creator of the team is inactive? in that case can the other developers fill out the form?
