Developers on Player-Owned Experiences can no longer migrate to latest update

Around 2-3 days ago, I have started to be unable to migrate a game I am team created on to the latest version. In the past, I have always been able to migrate, and not having access to this change is becoming extremely impactful to our development cycle.

Thank you for surfacing this issue, I’ll be looking into this ASAP. To help my investigation, can you share the steps you followed for migration and rough timestamps of when you attempted the migrate that failed? If you have more recent examples, that would be helpful!

And to clarify,

Is this affecting only the game instances that were team created or is this happening for all running game instances?

I have attempted to migrate from two different places: from the create dashboard Places menu, and from the game page three dots.


Both do not successfully go through, despite the second one saying this on the bottom

I attempted to migrate the game linked above three times over the past week, at roughly these times:

  • 11/5/2024 at 8pm EST
  • 11/8/2024 at 7pm EST
  • 11/12/2024 at 4pm EST

I am able to successfully migrate places that I own and experiences in groups I own.

The migration fails when I:

  1. Do not own the game (it is owned by a player, not a group)
  2. I am team created onto the game (i am given access to edit the game)

The game owner is able to migrate just fine, but since around 11/5 I have been unable to migrate successfully.
