[Server Picking]
Everything on this looks amazing, audio fits well, i like the friends online server-list feature and how it tells you if servers are on or offline I think though instead of just a gray backround, you should do the following.
Remove the “Westshore Roleplay” logo at the top, resize the server list to be bigger, and make the gray backround to be gray with the logo tilted on it and replicated all throughout. (in black and white so it blends in with gray)
^ lmk if u want an exmaple image
[IN-GAME]
I have a very good computer, yet assets were still loading in even once the game was “done” loading, maybe you should add a quick loading screen until game:IsLoaded
Not sure if this is a UI error or if the text is supposed to be up here instead of centered on the screen.
Work put in the game is actually damn good and game has a big potential, I could actually imagine playing it with my friends and having fun. I like the implementation of low graphics mode, a life saver for low end pc’s. You can add a few things:
The city looks cool but maybe a bit too colorful for a dark rp (If I understand that right)
I would like it more if the cars would explode after a while when they’re on fire instead of just disappearing
The ar shooting sound sounds really bad, maybe change it?
You can add a helipad on the roof of the police department
The cars accelerate unnaturally too fast. Slow them down
You can add some environment sounds like cars going by, wind, birds and others
The reset button at the left upper corner could be deleted and replaced with the default one on the menu, there’s a chance you might click it accidentally when under stress or something
Maybe if you clicked money on the left then it would take you to the shop where you can buy various amounts of money instead of just 25k?
In the menu, I think you should add an image of the map instead of just a grey background.
Some buildings are good looking. While some aren’t good like the factory. I think the factory should have some windows on it.
Some things do look a bit out of place. There are some low-poly buildings in one area next to builds made with parts, and a realistic water tower on top of a brick building with no windows.
I like the idea of the game and the building system, I think that this game has some potential to take off.
Thanks I would love to help you with scripting but at the moment I am trying to make my game even better than it already is but maybe in the future hmu.
Thanks for the feedback il do my best to implement your suggestions Also when you say grey background do you mean in the server choosing screen or a different part because I have a lot of grey backgrounds hehe?
I haven’t seen the game yet bc I don’t have any time. But from the pics it looks quite good. And if there’s a reset button on the screen GUI i think you should probably remove it.
Got a nice style to it, I like the menu a lot but the animating text for the intro is a bit slow and made me skip it. I don’t really understand the need of that server system either, and some bits of text are off centre - but nevertheless seems cool
Sorry for the late response but its going very well in terms of development. Still 0 players however I have added a lot more functionality to the game while working on all of the suggestions. Hopefully by the end of next month it will be a lot more user friendly and enjoyable to play.
I originally posted this in 2022, but now it’s 2023, and I’ve been diligently working on the game in my spare time. It has come a long way since then! Currently, I’m focusing on a new content update, and once it’s ready, I plan to promote the game. After releasing the significant content update, I’ll return here to gather everyone’s feedback before proceeding with advertising. The game is still available and has undergone significant changes, but the upcoming update will address numerous bugs and introduce fresh content. Once I complete this update, I’ll be seeking volunteers to assist with testing. If you’re interested in helping, feel free to reach out to me!
