Developing a Text-to-3D Model AI Tool

Hi everyone,

Myself and my group are working on a university project. Using my experience in game dev, we decided to go with a daunting idea: MeshGen, a platform that converts simple text prompts into optimized, low-poly 3D models. Our goal is to empower creators to rapidly produce 3D assets.

Currently, we are focusing on delivering optimized low-poly models with a focus on roblox game development, with plans to evolve our platform to generate high-fidelity assets in the future.

This is a project for university but we will have to produce an MVP. I do plan on sharing this.

What you mentioned reminds me a lot of Meshy. The main issue I have with that application is lack of reliability in texture customization and UV mapping being incohesive. If you had an alternative that created meshes with reliable maps, that’d be awesome.
