Development progress for my late medieval game (with attempts at historical accuracy)

The weapons and artillery are already mostly finished, but im still looking for a setting
(the hundred years war is overdone tbh)

Why not something more homebrew? Games with their own custom setting and worldbuilding tend to gather very large and sometimes loyal fanbases.

30 years war?
It was a brutal conflict with many parties and a dynamic history.
Of course, the 1600s are not “medieval” any more by any stretch of the definition, but it was still a time of matchlock muskets, cannons and mainly pikemen.

found that the ottoman-hungary wars of the 16th century fit what im going for

im not much of a writer, besides theres alot of settings that havent been adapted into games before

Dont need to be a great writer, just know what you wanna achieve and connect the events you plan to make.

maybe, ive already gotten to work on the uniforms anyways
(ugc is placeholder)

It seems like you have a solid idea, just start small and build up from there, lore wise–you could do realistic fantasy and save yourself a lot of gimmicky things

what kind of gimmicky things do you mean

Magic, world history, the world itself

yeah ill think about it

game is supposed to be one of those large napoleonic event games, but late medieval

Looks nice!
