Leaderboard?
It’d be awesome to add a leaderboard to
the DevForum, Why? What kind? Where would it go? How many people will it show on the leaderboard?
why?
Well i think it would really push people
to become more active and challenge
theirself to become better and most
likely push theirself to get on the
leaderboard!
What kind?
Well this leaderboard can consist
•The amount of likes
•The amount of replys
•The amount of posts
•The current level your in
•The time you use DevForum weekly

Ofcourse this would most likely not happen
it truly is in the hands of ROBLOX to take in
this decision and proceed to create it!
but its truthfully your decision too!

Well the leaderboard could show 10-50 people
who have exceeded to become better and push
theirself!
This seems like an idea that would promote misuse of the forum, posting things for the sake of posting, and racing to get likes and the maximum number of replies.
That’s not what the forum is for.
I’d say Solutions is probably the best measure of useful contribution, but even then it’s just not a good idea to make stats into a competition.
The DevForum is a place to help out others, request new features, report old bugs, etc.; but certainly not a place for stats competitions. Such a leaderboard would just make people misuse the forum to rise to the top as fast as possible. Plus, let’s talk realistically: your forum stats (likes, etc.) don’t mean anything whatsoever. Someone with higher stats are not better than those with lower stats.
I agree with the people above, I mean, this is a website for asking for solutions, answering someone’s problems, rating other people’s work, comissioning people, and so much more is what the devforums are used for. Don’t really think developers would go on a “devforum stat leaderboard” for the fun of it not gonna lie. Not a good idea, simple as that.
Alright! Thanks for your guys replys it has came to notice that trying to get onto a leaderboard would be a competition ruining the community because everybody would only use DevForum to bump up on the leaderboard for fame and other sorts of stuff!
Go experiment and make some cool stuff, and use the forum if you get stuck. That’s the whole point of this forum. Statistics on this forum itself are not very interesting.
