DevForum Modified + Modified Mobile

Modify the DevForum Experience to Your Specific Wants/Needs

About

DevForums Modified is a User Style that allows users to customize various aspects of the DevFourms website, enabling you to personalize the website according to your preferences. This grants suers greater control over their browsing experience, allowing them to adapt the website’s apperance and functionality to better suit their needs and preferences.

This extension (for the most part) works with DevForum Condensed.

About Modified Mobile

DevFourm Modified Mobile is another version of DevForum Modified that brings the same user control on DevForum Modified to the “Mobile View”/Mobile Experience. If you’re viewing the DevForum on mobile and have a mobile browser that accepts the use of extensions, it’s recommended to use this over the main DevForum Modified Style as I cannot guarantee that things will appear/work as intended (as DevForum Modified is specifically tailored to the Desktop View.)

[^2]: On DevForum Modified Mobile this option is split into Remove Subcategory Listings and Remove Category Topic Stats though will produce similar results.

[^3]: If you’re looking for a version of this for the Desktop View, use the seperate DevForum Condensed Theme

[^4]: Note as the Frequent/Original Poster Section Relies on User Avatars being shown, if Show Avatar Icons is disabled, the Frequent/Original Poster Section will be Disabled Regardless of this Options Setting.

Installation

Installing Stylus

Install the Stylus extension for Firefox or Chrome/Chromium Based Browsers. Similar extensions may work as well, but I am not putting any guarantee that they will work (in some or any capacity), so I’d recommend just sticking with Stylus. For mobile users, you’ll have to use a browser like Kiwi Browser, Lemur Browser or any mobile browser that supports the usage of web extensions.

Installing through UserStyles.World

Both DevForum Modified and DevForum Modified Mobile can be found through UserStyles.World. To install through this method, click either one of the links to which you’ll be transported to the UserStyles website. Once here, scroll down until you see an “Install” button on, click/tap that. This’ll open up Stylus in a new tab, during this process, if you already know which Variables you want to change you’ll be able to do such here, once you’re ready click “Install Style”

Installing from the .user.css

The User Styles .css are also available through the GitHub Repo.

  1. Go here to the releases section. (note that there wont initially be any releases here)
  2. Find the Latest Update, Mobile Updates will be Noted by the M tag while Desktop Updates will be noted by the D tag before the version number (ex: MV1.0 DV1.0)
  3. Install the .css File for Whichever Version You’re Using
  4. Open Up the Stylus Extension and Navigate to the Manage Section of the Extension
  5. Create a new Style
  6. Drag and Drop the File Over the Window or Open the File, Select Everything and Paste it In.

Anyways I’m gonna step back for a few, I’m gonna go insane if I stare at the Stylus Editor and Inspect Element Tool any Longer

Do you have a screenshot of this resource?

This style is completely controlled by variables and it’d be impossible to fully show what the style looks like since the main point of it is that it’s a large repository of variables that allow you to fine tune the DevForum experience to your preference. (And I wont be providing screenshot examples for the “Theme Type” option as I’m still evaluating how it will be fully implemented.)

Best way to showcase the modifications really is to tell you to download the style and experiment with all the variables.

Pretty cool.

i dont have anything else to say.
