So on my DevForum page, it says that I have a notification
. But when I look at my profile picture I don’t have any notifications
. I don’t know if this is a bug for only pinned tabs but its really been bothering me when I look at it and think I have a new notification but realize its just the bug again. The bug seems to go away if you refresh the page but if you get another notification it will happen again.

This is currently happening to me too.
Not sure what kind of an issue it is, but this bug occurs for me every now and then as well. However, refreshing the page doesn’t seem to solve it for me. I have to manually go into the search bar, type in the website link for DevForum, hit enter, and then my notification for the tab goes away.
It kind of annoys me… If the tab icon has a notification sign, and my profile picture doesn’t, it sort of “triggers” me.
I think it just persists if you have the tab open for too long. I don’t know the specifics, but really all it takes is refreshing the page. It doesn’t hurt to do that, you don’t lose your back history. I think I’ve only had this happen a handful of times, over the last 6 months. Not sure about anyone else.
Just open a new tab if you want it to stop occurring after you get a notification. These things take 1 second and as far as I know, this bug doesn’t happen often unless you never close your tabs and let your browser become a memory hog
You can turn off “Show counts on browser icon” in Preferences>Interface to get rid of the counter:
I want it to show counts, but it keeps showing counts even if there are no notifications.
This only happens when I read the notification from a different DevForum tab.
Refreshing doesn’t work, you have to close the page.

This has been happenign to me also. not sure if this is an issue with the forum or the forum provider since i dont really use many other forums, but it is annoying to see a 1 in the tab, to come over and see theres none. Not the end of the world, but just mildly infuriating.

Been having this issue too, you have to close it and reopen it for it to fix itself, dunno why.
Do you have a topic open when this happens? That notification also occurs when there are new replies to a topic.
Nope, I don’t have any topics open.
This started happening few days ago (for me at least). DevForum was updated recently, maybe something to do with that.
