DevForum or TalentHub for portfolios

The creator page is your portfolio…

I personally think when we had the portfolios on the DevForm I got more commissions/work rather then the TalentHub. I personally use the HiddenDevs Discord server and would recommend people to use the Talent Hub.

The issue with the creator page is it is hard to fit everything in and ngl does not work very well as a portfolio.

I think they should add a proper section with the markup like in the dev forum because in the talenthub I have an experience section but I don’t have any

Exactly, I don’t have any experience but a few assets, where should I list them in the creator page? That doesn’t make sense to me, I will try this discord server maybe

I can’t place images and i don’t know why and that kills me as I am a modeler, do you know why I can’t place images?

While I can see the argument of not being able to fit anything, just like a resume - you’re not supposed to. Cherry pick what is the best thing that you want to highlight and use it. If you really need space tho, just utilize 3rd party sites that are listed below: Talent Hub

Personally, I think Roblox should just integrate the Talent Hub in the DevForum itself, as well as make the portfolios as customizable as the DevForum was.

This should be the best solution, like a talenthub section or smth

They’re planning to do that: New docs site is harder to navigate to using the first few letters of the URL - #6 by peraldon

Combining all the creator sites together into one consistent site.

But the fact that I need to apply to jobs, it is the worst thing. I wanted to post my portfolio so people could see it and contact me

Well… that is how applying for jobs work in real life? Not sure why complain about something this miniscule especially since you said yourself that you have little experience. No one will go out of their way to look for your stuff so you gotta make yourself visible through applying for positions.

You are probably right on this

Will it look something like this?

Making it like this would make a lot of sense tbh. I probably wouldn’t click on the Talent Hub if it’s on a sidebar, and I would like to see jobs when I see the DevForum. Back in the days of #collaboration, I would apply for jobs just because I saw them. Only people looking for work use the Talent Hub.

That could be implemented but also some form of better resume/portfolio

No, more likely they’ll make a combined profile page that has all of your content. (Portfolio, forum activity, anything else relevant to you)

It doesn’t make sense to present job postings the same way as forum content. Jobs aren’t forum posts so the discoverability needs to be different.

what in gods name are you talking about, it’s exactly the same as the devforum formatting (markdown) plus you get extra features like marking your availability.

you haven’t even bothered to TRY and create a talent hub portfolio yet. Talent Hub

500 Character maximum. This is called customization? I did in fact try Talent Hub before saying it’s bad

They’re working on changing that. Please make sure to give #feature-requests:talent-hub-features a good read while at it too in case you wish to complain about other stuff :+1:
