So, if I were to include these words, “pain and suffering”, in a dialogue line in a game, would it be considered against TOS?
I’m using it in a manner that should be recognized as a joke, but I don’t know.

Do you have the rest of the dialogue? Right now we just know it’s a joke. Context would be nice.
Anyways, I don’t think it’s against the ToS. I don’t see how “pain and suffering” would be violating the ToS.
To anyone passing by, what do you think?

In my opinion, it’s allowed.
I’ve seen more mature and less-friendly dialogue in Roblox, “pain and suffering” would be just 0.0000000032% of that dialog. In summary, it’s allowed. They’re just normal words .
If you’re uncertain, go in-game and type it in chat. Does it censor/hashtag it? I think you’re fine to put pain and suffering. You only may have issues when using it as a threat towards someone.
I’m making a reference to Tower of Hell in my game as one of the characters describes the place as an “endless loop of pain and suffering” and that it is a “work of the Underworld” when the player mentions about it.
The game takes place in Greek mythology and I guess you could connect the dots here since I’m really bad at explaining jokes.
Yeah, I’m sure it’s fine. I can’t imagine why it wouldn’t be allowed anyway.
