"Did not update packages due to modifications" with the Update All feature on unchanged packages

Reproduction Steps

- Create a multi-place universe

  • Create a package and use it in some places of this universe.
  • Make sure all places that use this package have the latest package version with no modification.
  • Make changes to the package in one of the places and publish the changes to the package.
  • Use the “Update All” feature to update the package instances to the latest version on all other places that use this package.

Expected Behavior

The update operation should be successful, as no changes were made to the package instance in the other places. A saved version of the updated places should also be created with the latest package instance.

Actual Behavior

The package update fails on the places to update with the message “Warning: Did not update 1/1 packages due to modifications”. A saved version of the place is created, but the package instances remain un-updated.

Workaround

The only workaround I found is to update the package manually, by opening the places to update, and select “Get Latest Package”, then save the place to Roblox. In a multi-place universe, this approach is very time-consuming.

So sorry we missed this. I wanted to circle back. Are you still having the issue?

I am not having this trouble in this moment. I am closing the thread, until I experience it again.
