Did roblox make luau specially for Roblox Studio?
I know that luau is basically lua, but made for better performance. So, did roblox make it? Since luau seems to have all the commands for Roblox Studio. Or did roblox just take luau and tweak it into a version for Roblox Studio?
Yes, they use an older version of lua from when it was founded, lua version 5.1 I think and have developed it seperately since.
And yes the developers did create it and sandbox it to fit the roblox studio. However it is not exclusive to roblox studio anymore and I believe they open sourced it a while back.
So, they did make luau? That’s what your saying?
