Different features use different timezones?

So I’ve been on Roblox for about 6 years now, and it seems a little strange that I can never quite determine which time zone the timestamps depict. I thought I would look into it briefly…

All of these were posted within 5 minutes of each other, and they don’t show the same time zone at all. I’m not sure which time zone the developer statistics for hourly reports use either, and that makes it hard for me to determine what times of the day my games peak at.

Also preferably times should be listed in the user’s own timezone and in the right format (12 vs 24 hour)

or at least have them show the time zone it’s in (for example, the wall post would show 5:11:22 PM CST)

I’m sure for US people you got those 3 (or so) timezones hardcoded in your brain, but that’s really not user-friendly for people outside of the US. Every other major website that has timestamps on social items etc will display it in the user’s timezone.

Even if it had the time in my own timezone, I would actually prefer to see the timezone attached, too. It assures me that the time I’m being given is correct.

Anyways, I agree that it would be best to put times in the user’s own timezone.

I posted about this not long ago, and received no proper response.

It needs to be addressed eventually…

It’d be really nice if the website could adapt to the timezone of each individual. I know trello does this and I don’t think it’d be too difficult to implement.

It’s on my personal list to do at some point. There are just so many places that we use time stamps sigh

By that do you mean unlocalized timestamps, or that timestamps in general are the problem and they should be changed to “x hours ago”?

Well at least I know that at some point this will be worked on. I appreciate the response.
