Difficulty chart obby

Hello!

I’ve been working off and on since late May on my difficulty chart obby and decided it was time to release it. Frankly, it has painfully average gameplay, however I put quite a bit of time into UX (mainly the UI) as I believe how the player perceives the game is very important.

If you want to suggest anything or if you have any feedback (especially about the gameplay), please let me know!

I find the difficulty fluctuates a lot which is something I’m definitely looking for some insight on, however I ask if you are going to suggest a modification for a level, please be specific if you can. A few friends and I have thoroughly playtested it but I think it’s a bit difficult to find out what specifically is causing the fluctuations in difficulty, so if there’s some maneuver that’s too hard (or too easy) for a specific difficulty, let me know.

I also had a lag issue which I looked into, so if you’re finding the game isn’t very performant, please let me know of that as well, and if you know how, provide screenshots of the memory usage, particularly the PlaceMemory section.

It’s amazing!! I like the creative stages!
But what kind of annoyed me is that is was a bit laggy. If you fixed that, it would be amazing. :happy2:

Thanks for that! I’m currently looking into the lag but I’m having difficulty finding the source which sucks. I’ll probably post a support topic.

Although I did manage to cut the memory usage basically in half, from 1.1k mbps to ~600

Edit: I think I fixed the lag.

First of all, nice tutorial and UI! I really like the design and overall feel of the game, it’s super clean and I can tell there was a lot of effort put into it.

For the difficulty fluctuations, I think one thing you might want to change is the introduction of wraparounds. I feel like they’re something that shouldn’t be introduced until later in the obby since their difficulty is more significant than something like lava jumps.
