As a Roblox developer, it is currently too hard to balance time commitment for an existing game without destroying my game’s metrics because I can’t stop mobile players from finding it when it’s not really ready. I have an established playerbase on mobile that I really don’t want to shut out, but I don’t want more mobile players right now because the experience is bad.
If Roblox is able to address this issue, it would improve my development experience because I’d be able to address the bad mobile experience at my own pace without my game’s metrics cratering.
All I need is the ability to toggle whether or not I want home recommendations (or any other algorithmic acquisition source) per platform.
I know a PM will probably see this and balk at it, but we can already choose not to target platforms with ads. I need that kind of control for the exposure that Roblox’s discovery gives my game.
