I finally released my game, Begging Simulator , and started advertising it. The results I’ve been getting are somewhat subpar, and I don’t know what the problem is. I spent 4000 robux for a sponsor today, and that got me around 360 visits and 2-13 concurrent players throughout the day. However, I still haven’t gotten a single gamepass sale. Is this normal? Its my game badly monetized? I just don’t get it. The average visit length is around 6-12 minutes and the retention seems to be above the 50th percentile for my genre. Any advice or suggestions?
Maybe people just don’t want to buy any gamepasses. It’s very normal.
I’d say you actually got pretty lucky, the visit length seems great, and even a single active player (let alone multiple) is great! It’s normal for gamepass sales to take a while on any game, and just looking at an overview of your gamepasses, I can’t really see anything you did wrong. Aside from the latter location packs being a bit expensive (as I can only imagine people shelling out 1000-1500 robux at most on just a location, when the game is so new). Other than that nitpick, you’ve honestly seemed to do a great job! I think if the player count retains after the ads are over, you’ve got a great success on your hands. I see people being anxious about spending 150k robux on advertising here all the time, but I think you’re on smooth sailing for achieving all this with so little an amount! Best of luck on your game! (it also is similar to Cash Grab Simulator, a once popular game, so that to me explains why people like it so much. You revived a fun idea and made it better imo)
I would advise to keep working on and advertising your game. The fact you actually have players is very good! I think the problem you have is being too anxious. It may be that people are thinking that since this is a new game, it may never get popular, and any Robux they spend will be lost because the game is dead, which in turn hinders gamepass purchases. That’s when you have to get crafty! Keep updating your game, giving it more content and things to do and show people you are active. It WILL eventually draw more CCU’s.
Its a great game idea but I think the reason why you are not having the success you want is because
Players are unable to move around and are just stuck there clicking which can be boring like really quick, you should make it where players are able to move around and beg at the same time which would be fun
And also its single player which is boring you should make it where players can compete against other players, maybe set up events like other simulators do where players can compete against other players and whoever has the highest level or whatever has a higher chance of winning just like how other simulators do it
The most fun part about Roblox games is usually the multiplayer. In a simulator/tycoon players want to show others how good they are in the game. This is a major part of why players keep doing the same thing over and over again.
It’s so they can be ‘the best’, and show others they’re the best.
Singleplayer games do have their charms, but you don’t really see them on Roblox (for good reasons). I suggest working heavily on making it fun to play with others.
