Backstory
So with the recent overhaul of team in Disaster Island (including a new builder!), we’ve started to begin full charge again on the project. We had been experiencing numerous bumps due to the lack of a builder matching the style and quality we needed, but that has been sorted now for sure!
Role
We need a scripter who is capable of taking on a mid-complete game and taking it to the next level. This scripter should be able to work with data storage, be able to work with pre-made UI and create his/her own, be able to optimise a game for XBOX release, and be able and willing to work with a team.
Why should I?
We’ve done our fair share of market research on this project. We don’t make games over hunches or random guesses. The disaster game market is a huge one, but all of the games which once filled this market are outdated. The fact of the matter is, the disaster game market makes more per year than the murder genre has this year. That’s a statistical fact. Disaster games have been missing a lot of features for a long time now, and a disaster game with proper gameplay and a unique style is yet to come.
We’re filling this space in the market, with Disaster Island.
Payment
Now now, we know why you’re here. Either you have extremely good morals (if so, sign up right now!), or you’re here to work on an amazing project and get paid for it! We’re offering a direct percentage of our game’s profits to whomever chooses to take this project up! That could be a lot of money.
Outro
We have an AAA team working on this game, and all we need now is you. To sign up for this role, or for any enquiries, go ahead and send me a message on here!
Your market research doesn’t look very promising. Read this post about game target audiences:
There is no market for a game genre, the game is the market. Murder mystery being very succesful has nothing to do with the murder genre market growing. It is successful because the game is good.
I’d also know where you get the data on this: [quote=“ove_r, post:1, topic:30447”]

I don’t think we have the data, so we don’t have the facts. The #1 top earning game is a murder game atm. It is very likely that Murder Mystery 2 outearns the entire disaster “market” since the top earning games earn far more than other games.
Look at this post by amazeman that explains that: x.com
This is true though: [quote=“ove_r, post:1, topic:30447”]

If your disaster game is unique and good enough, it will probably rise to the top
So, I’d recommend you to rewrite the section about market research and include more examples of games that you have made/worked on.
So I probably put the reply that was here prior to me re-writing it wrong. You have backed me up actually in my point by posting that article here, because it states that to make a game of the same genre successful you have to bring something new to the table, and boy are we bringing a lot of new things to the table with this game.
As for my statistical information, I can say that the disaster games are earning a lot more especially on mobile than you might think.
I can only be skeptical about this project, because in recent memory you’ve posted a lot of these threads looking for new people (4 times in about 6 months). These are not all additions to the team, correct me if I am wrong on that.
Is the project stable? The backstory doesn’t reassure me on that.
I’m going to be completely transparent here because you guys need to know.
So we had a huge demotivational area when we couldn’t find a builder to fit our style after we had Sofloann building our lobby etc, but he had to get a job irl etc. We couldn’t find anyone with the right style and eventually everyone just got so deflated. Recently we’ve found the perfect builder, but our lead scripter is now stuck in a new project. I’m not giving up and so I’m looking for a scripter to finish a few things off and fix up some odds and ends.
Although we’ve had a shaky past, trust me when I say the game is in good form and is definitely high quality material, and the reform of the team is huge motivation for me.
I believe this spot is filled now. Give me a day to confirm, but I’d stop sending in applications now because I think we found our guy
I’d like to personally thank everyone interested for the on-going support of this project, and judging by the pace we’re working at after a reform right now it’s looking very bright for this game’s future!
